Super Mari-Dough

Well, National Donut Day has passed. Today is just a regular ole' Digital Domain Dunkin Donuts Donut Day - time to kick back and relax with a video game!  This week in Los Angeles was the Electronics Entertainment Expo, or E3 for short. It's a like a big premiere party for all the latest games and video game hardware.  This inspired me to sit down and play a few games - and I realized something:  Video game characters love pastries. I mean, they really, really love pastries.  As I loaded up the awesomest game with the latest graphics, I realized something: Pac-Man is always eating donut holes - the powdered kind.  Sonic the Hedgehog is always running (I mean, really running) to pick up golden rings I'm pretty sure are glazed donuts - and lets be honest, any small animal that ate that many glazed donuts could easily run at 3,257.2 miles per hour.  The girl  from Metroid, Samus Aaran?? Her gun fires shiny donut holes, which I'm pretty sure is what makes the metroids grow so big!  Mario seems to open small, unlabeled yellow boxes in hopes of getting either Green Apple or Strawberry Muffins with cute little eyes. A green apple muffin a day, apparently, keeps the Bowser's away.  And Zelda's always cutting grass for extra rupees to  buy pastries and milk from the local dairy farmer, Mr. Lon Lon.

Anyway, go have a donut*!

I went to Star Wars Celebration, and I feel the need to tell you about it and provide you with an honest, clear review of this event. You have been warned. Firstly, are you a fan of Star Wars ? I don't mean "Yes, I saw some of those. They were good." I'm not referring to the people who have seen each and every single film, some more than once. I'm not even talking to people who have a plush taun-taun, or that 'one really rad shirt from the first film in Japanese.' TESLA REVIEW PART II: THE ELECTRIC BOOGALOO

PART I: THE BASICS Now we're on to the ACTUAL REVIEW! What's it like to drive a Tesla, for the average joe? I'm not a man who drives a BMW 3 series, or a Mercedes, or an Audi. Or a Lexus. Or an Acura. I don't have the latest Mazda 6 series. I have a FIFTEEN YEAR OLD Honda Accord. I imagine a large number of Tesla drivers will be coming from a similar experience - so I want to share what it's like moving from a car to an electric-powered rocket with wheels, airbags, and the most advanced cupholders I've ever seen. Here's the car. It's smaller than I thought, has no power, and I can't get the trunk open. A model Model 3. If I paid it to wear clothes, It would be a model model Model 3. As for the ACTUAL car: First, you gotta get INTO the thing. You walk up to it with cellphone in pocket, push in on a block bit which pops the handle out, pull the handle, and climb in. An Ode to Life Mid-Virus

Summer’s on hold, Lo! C19 We douse in soap and chug caffeine There’s much amiss this age, tis clear To see the rate we slosh our beer.   But oh, the Gods! You whine and moan Off and off on masks you drone And lament the loss of paper scrubs For cleansing tushie backside rubs. ‘Masks don’t work!’ you now decry ‘You say to wear them, I ask why!’ And on and on you whinge and thrum About your mask and poor, wet bum.   The pantry doors now flex and bow Prepped for months with sauce and dough There our starchy treasures sat As Postmen placed goods our mat. We cooked and cleaned (and filled the cup!)
